InfoDynamics LLC: Information

An important focus of all InfoDynamics engagements is knowledge transfer. Building a data warehouse or a decision support system or a strategic information access system are all complex processes which cross both organizational and technical boundaries. Successful systems require a team of people with expertise in a number of areas and a shared understanding of the general concepts and processes.

This document summarizes the InfoDynamics project methodology and recommended architecture for building a data warehouse. In addition to describing suggested roles and responsibilities for InfoDynamics and the client , this document also details typical tasks and deliverables. ¨ InfoWorld article: Data Lessons Learned (Enterprise Case Study)

A 1995 InfoWorld article highlights work that InfoDynamics principals Joy Mundy and Warren Thornthwaite on the Stanford University data warehouse. As the article states in its introduction, "The Stanford warehouse is an object lesson for enterprises looking to field data from heterogeneous source systems and make it available in a form that can be readily queried.
